THE BODY BENEFITS OF HOT YOGA

Logo 100

If you’re looking for a calming but challenging exercise to detoxify, strengthen and blast body fat, our hot yoga classes work wonders for the body and mind.Practising yoga in high heat boosts the body’s pulse rate and metabolism, using between 10 to 40 per cent more energy, which means you can burn up to 900 calories in just one class! Our studio’s balmy climate also helps to increase blood flow to the muscles, allowing you to safely stretch out any aches and pains, as well as improving overall heart health and full-body fitness.

Hot yoga develops the mental practice of self control, patience and determination too, so you can boost flexibility, positivity and mindfulness in equal measures. Whether your aim is to lose weight, detox, improve mental strength, nurture your spirituality or rebalance your body, get that glow from within by signing up to Cobham Yoga’s expert range of hot yoga classes.

Emma McGuiness
Emma McGuinessJuly 2020-FRC Mobility specialist March 2020-RYT 200-hour Yoga Alliance UK, Red Hot Yoga December 2019
During eight years of figure skating and reaching a competitive level, Emma built up a lot of strength as well as some tight joints and muscles!

In 2004 Emma graduated from the Royal Central School of speech and Drama, where her three years training incorporated twenty hours per week of movement, involving many different genres and disciplines.  Whilst attending this course Emma discovered Bikram Yoga.

She was immediately hooked! The mental challenge was as appealing as the physical demands and like nothing she has done before.

Expect your time on the mat with Emma to be focused, strong and controlled with an element of still awareness and plenty of fun and ready to take on anything!

George Skuodas
George Skuodas2020 Red Hot Yoga 200 Hours
George was a professional sailor and has represented Great Britain at International level, including Olympic Games and Americas Cups, in a career spanning 30 years.

George always loved the training that came with being an athlete; both doing it and learning along the way, the interaction with elite level sports scientists, coaches and trainers inspired him, 8 years ago, to choose a second career as a personal trainer and group exercise instructor.

4 years ago George decided to refresh his own exercise methods to body weight only and focus particularly on movement; with a combination of Animal Flow, Yoga, Gymnastics and Calisthenics.

This organically led George to studying and completing his 200hr Yoga Teacher qualification.
